Use 63110, data processing, hosting and related activities. It is the specific and better fit for hosting providers, data centres and cloud infrastructure firms. Code 62090 is a general IT services code, and some hosts use it anyway. Companies House will not object either way. If the company also does IT support or development, it can hold codes from both divisions.
What kind of business should register 63120, web portals?
Code 63120 suits companies running websites or apps where the audience and the content are the value. That means comparison sites, online directories, marketplaces, forums and content platforms earning from ads, subscriptions or commission. If you build websites for clients, that is division 62 work.
