Where our data comes from
Leadistry is a UK-only B2B database. Here’s exactly how every record is built, our legal basis, and how long we keep data.
Where our data comes from
Every record is built from two sources:
- Companies House, the UK government’s official register of limited companies. We use the public Companies House API and bulk data files. This is the source for company name, registered address, SIC codes, incorporation date, status, charges, filing deadlines, and director information.
- Public company websites, we visit the website of each company (where one is discoverable) and extract the contact details the company itself has chosen to publish, such as business email addresses, phone numbers, and named contacts on team or contact pages.
Legal basis
We process this data under UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f), legitimate interests. Direct marketing to corporate subscribers (i.e. limited companies) is permitted under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) without prior consent, provided opt-out is honoured.
We do not process special category data. We do not market to consumers. We do not sell personal data to advertising networks.
Retention
Cached company data is retained for a maximum of 24 months from last verification. Records older than 24 months are re-verified from source or removed. Suppression requests are honoured permanently.
To remove a company, use the public removal form, no account required.
