This is the technology heartland of the UK register. IT consultancy, code 62020, is the single most common choice. Contractors and consultancies alike use it. Software development on 62012 and the broad 62090, other IT service activities, follow close behind. Games developers have their own code, 62011. Computer facilities management is 62030. Much of the division is one-person limited companies. Developers, architects and consultants contract through them. So the same code can describe a global consultancy and one person working through a personal service company. Keep that in mind when you segment.
